THERAPEUTIC BODYWORK SHIATSU

60 minute PureShiatsu - Therapeutic Holistic Treatment

Ideal treatment length for most conditions Pure Shiatsu is a form of therapeutic bodywork from Japan. It uses kneading, pressing, soothing, tapping, and stretching techniques and is performed without oils through light, comfortable clothing. Pure Shiatsu session is given fully clothed. Please wear loose clothing and have arms and legs fully covered, e.g. a tracksuit and long sleeved t-shirt. The treatment will be given on a futon by your Asian Physical Therapist or on a Shiatsu table depending on the flexibility of the patient. Generally the whole body is worked with gentle pressure applied with the thumbs along the energy pathways in order to stimulate the correct flow of energy within the body. The treatment can include stretches, rotations and mere holding. After a Shiatsu treatment it is very important to rest or at least not to engage in strenuous activities in order for the work of the session to be fully assimilated. Drink plenty of water. Frequency of sessions: This depends on what you want to achieve and totally up to the individual. I am happy to advise after a couple of treatments.

I'm a wheelchair user and I've just had another excellent Shiatsu massage from Jean-Philippe. He always asks me if he's hurting me, I have an appointment every 2 weeks. Whenever he leaves, I'm so relaxed 😌, I have to go on my recliner chair for a rest 😂. I can't recommend Jean -Philippe highly enough. He's kind, thoughtful and empathetic towards me (without being too over bearing. That's why I've given him 5 stars 🤩

I find Jean-Phillippe to be an extraordinary Shiatsu person; not only does he come to my home in Teddington, but he also uses my bed to do the Shiatsu on, I can recommend him highly

Jean-Philippe gave me an excellent Shiatsu session. He arrived 15 minutes late but did apologise as he got stuck in traffic. He had left me a message on my phone to say that he was stuck in traffic, so when he arrived, I realised what had happened. He did the Shiatsu treatment on my bed; it was VERY relaxing, and I almost fell asleep.☺️ He explained everything he was doing and asked whether it was OK. He was incredibly professional, and I'd be more than happy to recommend him to anyone who wants great service and treatment

I have already had two shiatsu sessions with Jean-Philippe, and my hip, shoulder, and back are becoming noticeably more flexible. The numb, persistent pain in my neck and shoulders has almost completely disappeared. I am truly impressed — I didn’t expect to see such quick results.

I will certainly be booking more sessions, as the treatment is clearly very effective. Jean-Philippe is a highly professional and experienced shiatsu therapist.
